Kent Hormann became IPFW's Director of Athletic Marketing & Broadcasting in April of 2005.

A Fort Wayne native, Hormann graduated from Heritage High School in 1972, then received a B.S. degree in Political Science from Ball State University in 1976. He earned his Masters of Public Administration degree from Ball State in 1977.

Kent spent the bulk of his career in television broadcasting, joining WFFT - TV in January of 1978. He then worked at WKJG - TV (NBC) from 1981 - 1995 and from 1998 - 2005, primarily as the station's Sports Director. Hormann also spent three years as an account executive with WOWO radio.

His responsibilities at IPFW included garnering corporate sponsors to support the Mastodons' athletic programs and serving as the play - by - play voice for basketball and volleyball games broadcast over the radio and internet.

Proud to be part of an energetic and enthusiastic staff, Kent looks forward to IPFW's continued growth and success both in the classroom and in the Summit League.
