2007 Season
Doerffler started 39 games as a freshman and posted a .238 average. He won the "Ryan Keena Award" for leading the team with 14 hit by pitches. Doerffler was 3-5 against Wofford, a 2007 NCAA regional participant, with two RBI's.
High School
Doerffler played his high school ball locally at Concordia. As a Cadet, he was named 1st Team All-SAC his sophomore, junior, and senior years as a shortstop. He also excelled in football, being named 1st Team All-SAC and 1st Team All-State his senior year. Academically, Doerffler was awarded and Academic Honors Diploma.
