2007 Season
VanDriessche finished his freshman season hitting .359 with 4 home runs, 21 RBI's, and a .538 slugging percentage. One of VanDriesshe's home runs was a pinch hit 2-run home run against Michigan, who would go on to play in the Super Regional's.
High School
VanDriessche played his high school ball for Dave Bischoff at New Haven High School. He was named 1st Team All-NHC in baseball, as well as tennis. Shawn was also awarded an Academic Honors Diploma.
