2006 Season

Sommer played in all 18 IPFW matches in 2006, starting 17. He was tied for second on the team in scoring. Sommer scored the first goal of his career at UW-Green Bay on Sept. 11. He also found the back of the net against Western Illinois on Oct. 29 in Macomb, Illinois. Dished out the first assist of his career on Sept. 8 vs. Eastern Illinois.

High School

Sommer played for head coach Bob Freeborn at Blackhawk Christian in Fort Wayne. Earned all-academic honors. Was named all-area team, and participated in the Super Y Regional Team. Brothers John and Justin both played soccer at IPFW.
