Gonzalez attended Huron High School in Huron, Ohio. While at Huron, Gonzalez played #1 singles. Gonzalez competed as a semifinalist for the State competition with his team and with his team, they were the regional and sectional champions.

Born July 15, 1984. Son of Carlos and Samarita de Gonzalez. Gonzalez has one sister, Samarita Valdez. Majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in math.
