Fort Wayne, IN - After starting the 2008 season 0-5, the IPFW men's tennis team has won six of its last seven, including a 7-0 win over Robert Morris University on Friday morning at the Pine Ridge Racquet Club.

The Mastodons (6-6) have now won four straight matches, and will look to make it five in-a-row, hosting Western Kentucky Friday night at 7:00 p.m.

The 'Dons took the early doubles point on wins by Nabil Filho and Nathan Jones at No. 1 doubles and Hermann Kuschke and Francisco Sigaud at No. 3 doubles.

The Mastodons then went on to win all of the singles matches.

Two of those were quite a struggle as Kuschke dropped the first set to Matt Wodzinski at No. 3 singles, 6-3, but the junior roared back to take the match, 6-2, 11-9.

Sigaud had his own battle at No. 4 singles.  The reigning Summit League Player of the Week dropped the first set of his match with Rob Switzer in a tie-break, 6-7 (5), but he also rallied to win 7-5, 10-3.

After tonight's matchup with the Hilltoppers, IPFW will hit the road to play its next 12 matches, including their first match in The Summit League on March 28 at Centenary College.
