2007 Season

Macias put together another All-America Season in 2007, making the 2007 AVCA Division I-II Second Team for a second season. Macias was named the NCAA Finals All-Tournament Team. He was again named All-MIVA First Team and was a member of the 2007 MIVA All-Tournament Team. Named the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week on January 15. Finished the 2007 season ranked 7th in the nation in kills per game at 4.75. That figure paced the MIVA. Macias was also 7th in the nation in points per game at 5.43, a total that was also tops in the conference. C.J. was named to the United State World University Games Team and won Bronze with the squad this past summer in Bangkok, Thailand. Had nine of the top ten kill totals for the Mastodons in 2007, with a season-high 28 coming at Loyola on 1/19. Hit a career-high .579 at Ohio State on 4/28. Tied a career-high with 17 digs against Standford on 1/26. Tied a career-high with 6 aces on 3/30 at the Gates Center. Macias registered a career-high for block assists at Loyola on 1/19.

2006 Season

IPFW knew they were getting an outstanding player when C.J. Macias transferred from Findlay, but Macias exceeded even the toughest expectations. Macias was named to the second team of the 2006 AVCA Division I-II Men's Volleyball All-America Team. He ranked second nationally in kills per game at 5.42. He was third in points per game at 6.17. He had at least 10 kills in 29 matches for the Mastodons in 2006, including four matches in excess of 31 kills. Macias scored a career-high 38 kills versus Ohio State on 2/24 as part of a four-match stretch with 131 kills. He was also named to the First-Team of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Named to the MIVA All-Tournament Team. Ranked 12th nationally in ace percentage (.363) Led IPFW with 609 kills. Hit a season-high .552 vs. Clark on 3/25. Posted a season-high 39.0 points at Ohio State on 2/24. Had a season-high 17 digs vs. Ball State on 4/27. Fired off a season-high six aces at the University of Puerto Rico on 3/11. Totaled six blocks on three occasions (3/4 vs. Pacific, 3/18 at Ball State, and 4/1 vs. Ohio State).

2005 Season

Macias transferred to IPFW after Findlay University discontinued its men's volleyball program following the 2005 season. Macias burst onto the MIVA scene with offensive numbers that were second only to IPFW's former All-American Matt Zbyszewski. Macias was second in the MIVA to Zbyszewski in points per game (5.46 to 5.98). He was also just behind Zbyszewski in kills per conference game at 4.98 to 4.93. Macias had 536 kills and 173 digs. He had four solo blocks and 54 block assists. Macias was second on the Oilers with 35 service aces.

Macias was named Second Team All-Broward/Dade County in 2002, First Team All-Broward/Dade County in 2003, and 2004 Player of the Year (Broward/Dade County). Macias as also a member of the 2004 and 2005 Under 21 United State Beach Volleyball Squads that won back-to-back Beach Championships.
