2006 Season

Mike Morici played in 27 of the Mastodons 30 matches in the 2006 season. Led IPFW in digs with 226, averaging 2.31 per game. Morici finished 4th in the MIVA in digs, averaging 2.51 in conference action. He played in a total of 98 games in 2006. He also booked 15 assists. Dug up 21 balls twice in 2006 (at Quincy on 2/11 and vs. Quincy 2/25). That total was just two off of his team record 25 digs set in 2005. Had 10 matches with 10 or more digs.

2005 Season

Morici patrolled the back line for the Mastodons in all 30 matches last season. Morici was 10th in the MIVA in conference digs with 2.06 per game. He was second on the team, overall, with 208. He trailed only MIVA First-Team selection Matt Zbyszewski, who had 248. Had a season-high four assists vs. Findlay on 4/23. Morici dug up an IPFW match record 23 balls at Quincy on 2/5. Had his lone kill of the year at Penn State on 2/18.

High School

While at Carmel High School, Morici excelled academically and athletically. He received the Algebra and Gemetry Award. He was named All-Conference (ESCC), honorary captain All-Area, and honorable mention All-State by the Chicago Tribune and the Sun Times. He was also captain his high school team.
