Kovach had a stellar career at Lakewood as a two sport athlete. She is the All-Time leading scorer and was the Female Athlete of the Year twice. She was named 1st Team All-Conference for the Lake Erie League and 3rd Team and Honorable Mention Northeast Ohio D-1 Girls Basketball and Plain Dealer Player of the Week. Kovach was the MVP of her team all four years and was captain for three. Kovach received eight varsity letters and was the Lakewood Ranger of the Week eight times. She was also named to the All-Ohio Academic Team. On the volleyball court she received the Coach's Award and was the captain her senior year. Kovach led in blocking as well. She was on the honor roll with a 3.9 GPA and a member of the National Honor Society and S.A.D.D., Students Against Destructive Decisions.

Personal

Born February 8, 1989. She is the daughter of Dale and Cindy Kovach. She has one sister, Chelsea and one brother, Nick. Kovach plans on majoring in psychology while at IPFW.

She has an excellent work ethic and is a good shooter who plays hard. She will be competing for one of the forward positions this fall.
