Tulsa, OK - The Oral Roberts women's basketball team shot a blistering 66.7% from behind the arc in the first half and held IPFW at bay in the second half to win the Summit League quarterfinal game at the UMAC, 82-67 on Sunday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Golden Eagles, the tournament's No. 4 seed finished the game shooting 55.6% from the floor.

ORU junior center Jenny Hardin set the tone early with a pair of triples, giving the Golden Eagles a, 12-7 lead.

Sophomore guard Kelly Kindell added a pair of treys as ORU continued to lead.

IPFW freshman guard Jordan Zuppe went on a five-point run of her own, and on a Samantha Edwards layup, the 'Dons cut the ORU lead to two.

Oral Roberts began to open it up.  Sophomore forward Janae Voelker and junior guard Rachel Watman finished off the 3-point barrage, and ORU held a, 47-32 advantage at the break.

In the second half, IPFW cut into the Golden Eagles lead.  Senior forward Natalie Roberts grabbed an offensive rebound and got the put-back to cut the lead to 56-44.

Senior guard Johnna Lewis-Carlisle hit a triple and slashed to the basket for a layup to cut the ORU lead to eight.

But, Oral Roberts was able to hold that lead to around 10 points the rest of the half, making some foul shots late to eventually win by 15.

Lewis-Carlisle finished with 29 points to lead all scorer's in the game. 

Freshman Jordan Zuppe finished with 22 points vs. ORU.


Zuppe was the only other Mastodon in double-digits with 22 points.  She also had six rebounds.

Roberts finished with seven second-half points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

After a quiet first half, ORU junior guard Mariana Camargo led four Golden Eagles in double-figures with 20.

IPFW finished the contest shooting 34.9% from the floor.  The rebounds were even at 35.

With the loss, IPFW finishes its first season in The Summit League at 12-18 (9-9) in conference.

Oral Roberts will move on to face Oakland on Monday.
