Dec. 5, 2007

Fort Wayne, IN-IPFW has signed two additional players for the 2008-09 season.  Decatur native Kaylee Faurote and Kaitlyn Frost of LaGrange have signed the National Letter of Intent to play under Head Coach Keith Fisher

Faurote, a senior at Bellmont High School, is a second baseman and an outfielder.  She posted an impressive .494 batting average as a junior, a single season record at Bellmont.  She was named First Team All-Conference (Northeast Hoosier) and First Team All-Area in 2007, as well.

Kaylee, the daughter of Brent and Renee Faurote, is also an academic standout posting a 4.0 GPA, while being ranked 7th in her class.  Faurote is undecided about her major.

Frost plays second base at Lakeland High School and for her travel team, the Indiana Avalanche.  She was a 2007 All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in the NEC, and named Defensive Player of the Year for the Lakers.  A versatile athlete, she is also a two-time First Team All-Conference selection in girls soccer.

The daughter of Rob and Noel Frost, Kaitlyn also excels in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and earned Academic All-State accolades in 2007. Kaitlyn plans on majoring in pre-med or education.
