2006 Season

Azevedo saw action in 29 matches. She had 90 kills, averaging 1.43/game. Azevedo added 37 digs, two block solos and 18 block assists. She averaged 0.59 digs/game and 0.32 blocks/game. Azevedo knocked down a career high 14 kills against Chicago State and hit at a .556 clip against Delaware State. Chicago State was a personal best match for Azevedo adding three service aces, 9 digs, 45 attempts and five block assists to her 14 kills.

At Western Nebraska

Azevedo was an All-America in 2004 and 2005 and was Female Athlete of the Year 2004-05. She was named MVP, 2005-06. Azevedo was named to the All-Tournament team at Nationals in `04 and `05. Azevedo was also named to the All-Regionals in `04 and `05 and was named to the All-Tournament team both years. Azevedo holds the single season kills record at Western Nebraska Community College with 851 kills in 2004 and the career kills record with 1,514 kills over two seasons.

Born October 24, 1985. Daughter of Claudio Luiz Bezerra de Azevedo and Iraci da Costa Azevedo. She has one sister, Priscila Costa Azevedo. Azevedo plans on majoring in general studies at IPFW.
